We are excited to provide a Student Scholarship Program for Employee Families with students currently enrolled in public or private schools in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, or Yukon for the 2026 school year.
Detailed eligibility:
- Any current grade 12 student who meets all of the criteria below:
- Is enrolled in a public or private school in Alberta, British Columbia, or Yukon. **Scholarships also available for students enrolling in Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan through our Eastern Canada entity’s fund utilizing the same form below.
- Has a caregiver (parent, grandparent, or guardian) who works at Student Transportation of Canada Inc., Student Transportation of America, or one of its affiliates/subsidiaries.
- Has attained a minimum 75% average for grade 11 and the first semester of grade 12 courses.
- Is planning to continue their education beyond high school in an accredited institution of higher education or technical school.
General Information
1. The Scholarship Committee will consider the following for purposes of awarding scholarships:

2. May be used at any post-secondary institution of recipient’s choice, but the education program must require one or more years to complete.
3. Recipients will be notified by Thursday, September 10, 2026, and will receive an email confirmation from the scholarship committee. A list of all winners will be posted across our Canadian locations.
4. All winners must submit a certificate of admission or a letter of acceptance to the scholarship committee by July 20, 2026. Scholarship will be rescinded if letter is not provided.
5. Scholarships can be used for: tuition, books, laboratory fees and other academic costs, and room and board when student is housed under the control of the institution.
6. Scholarship cheques are sent by the scholarship committee directly to students, but payable to the appropriate institution, during the week of October 3, 2026.
7. If a recipient leaves the institution and there are scholarship award funds remaining, the institution shall return the balance to the scholarship committee.
8. If a scholarship winner must delay their education for any reason, the scholarship will be held for up to two years from the date of high school graduation.
9. Recipient must enroll as a full-time student.
What is this Scholarship?
This scholarship was started in 2010 to advance the educational opportunities available to deserving students. These Scholarships provide financial assistance to high school seniors who exhibit excellence in a well-rounded educational and extracurricular program.
Instructions for submitting scholarship application
Applications will be disqualified if the following instructions are not followed:
- Complete all sections of the Scholarship Application.
- Attach your official school transcript for grades 9 – 12 if available.
- Upload a one-page essay describing why you deserve a Scholarship. Direct comments toward your motivation, leadership and academic accomplishments. Describe special talents and any creative or challenging activities that you have initiated, or any obstacles you have overcome to achieve your goals. Essay must be no more than one page in length, typed on one side of the page, and must include your name, school, address and postal code in a single line across the top of the page. Essays longer than one page will be disqualified. Font size must be 10-point or larger.
