Our People
PWT’s people are the heart of our operational excellence. It is the knowledge, expertise, and passion of our teams across Canada that support our reputation as a leader in the people transportation industry.
Our people are our greatest asset.
PWT’s reputation for leadership and quality comes from the integrity and dedication of our talented staff. We truly believe that our people are our greatest asset. The PWT family has grown substantially over the years, allowing individuals across Canada to embody our Core Values and to help get people in the communities we love, Safely Home, each day.
Our mission is to exceed customer expectations by employing talented people who share in the dedication of a company committed to Safety and Service. That’s why we recruit, train, and retain only the best in their fields, and why we consistently recognize and reward employees who demonstrate a commitment to PWT’s Core Values.

THE R.B COLBORNE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
This annual recognition celebrates employees who have made a significant contribution through a commitment to our Core Values. Nominees are selected by their peers and then evaluated by a committee that chooses the top nominees in each business line for induction into the PWT President’s Club of Excellence. From these nominees, a single recipient is chosen by the Board of Directors to receive the R.B. Colborne Award of Excellence.
BOWIE SUSTAINABLE LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award acknowledges the legacy of Doug Bowie (Academic Director, Leadership Programs at the Haskayne School of Business – University of Calgary) with the company. The significant growth in the leadership capacity of individuals and the organization overall is the result of Doug Bowie’s dedication spanning two decades.
Our low turnover rate is a direct result of our commitment and investment in our people. In addition to the above award programs, we conduct semi-annual Raise the Bar and Town Hall sessions across our divisions. These sessions give our employees the opportunity to contribute their thoughts and ideas – fostering a culture of engaged employees who work with a passion and feel an emotional connection to the company. Our value-centric, empowered, and engaged people sustain our reputation as a leader in the people transportation industry.
